Another substantial release was v1.9, which included a sixth display mode, enhancements to the Widget and Text-Only layouts, an easy gifting options, as well as performance and stability improvements. [caption id="attachment_340736" align="alignleft" width="300"] Text-Only View provides the perfect window to the outdoors.[/caption] A main feature of Weather Live, the different layouts exist to satisfy almost every preference possible. The choices consist of four Widget, one Text-Only, and now Circle View. In this new view, the circle is a large wind rose with the temperature, sky condition, day and time, humidity, and precipitation levels contained within. In addition, the forecast is shown along the bottom of the screen. Part of every layout is the Weather Live toolbar fastened to the top of the screen that displays location and provides access to weather maps and settings. The map is displayed in full screen on iPhone and as a semi-transparent edge popover window on iPad with playback controls and a map type selection menu button. The map choices include clouds, radar, satellite, and rain. As for the final level of convenience, Weather Live also offers the option for an app icon badge, alert notifications, and a secondary data source.
