AppAdvice Goes Hands-On With The Fifth Generation iPod touch

October 11, 2012
Apple’s fifth generation iPod touch is nothing short of amazing. This is more than just an incremental upgrade, and most of its specifications are equal to an iPhone 4S. The new iPod touch has been redesigned and now comes in six different colors. The 32GB model starts at $299, but you get a lot more for your money when compared to the fourth generation 32GB model. If you just plan on using this as an MP3 player, you're probably better off with an iPod nano. Personally, I think this new model is the best iPod touch yet. It’s incredibly thin and features the same four inch Retina display as the iPhone 5. The fifth generation iPod touch is as close as you’re going to get to an iPhone without buying an iPhone. I'm not a big fan of the new Loop accessory, but I'm sure it'll come in handy at some point.
