AppAdvice has once again teamed up with Apalon in order to offer you a chance to win one of five promo codes for Pimp Your Sound ($0.99) for iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch.

An obvious compliment to Pimp Your Screen, a tool to customize the visuals of iOS, Pimp Your Sound is a ringtone creation app to customize the audio of your iDevice. Better yet, Pimp Your Sound also does text tones as well as tweet, mail, calendar, and reminder alerts.

For the most flexibility, tones and alerts can consist of songs, recordings via microphone, or one of the more than 200 included sounds of classic ringers to animal noises. To cut songs and recordings down to the required 40 seconds or less, Pimp Your Sound features simple clip selection and preview tools.

Once you’ve chosen or created your tone(s), they need to be saved, transferred, and assigned. Unfortunately, the process can’t be done solely on an iDevice, therefore, tones and alerts must be copied to your iTunes library using File Sharing and then synced back. Apalon even provides an easy-to-follow instructional video.

If in the end you’re extra proud of a custom creation, you can send it to friends via Twitter, Facebook, or an email message.
