Come on … Go on and let it out. We all know you had too much to eat at your Thanksgiving dinner. “Burp!” There. Doesn’t that just feel good? Now, if you’re looking for other places to indulge your palate and tummy, then the newly updated Burpple is just the right app for you.

Released in the App Store late last March, Burpple is, quite simply, a social food journal. And it has just gotten much more social with its new “What’s Good Nearby,” “I’m Here!” and “Find Friends” features.

Burpple’s “What’s Good Nearby” feature is centered on exploration. Think of it as Foursquare‘s very own Explore function, but exclusively for food.

In connection with this, the app’s “I’m Here!” feature automagically detects where you are and recommends what’s best to eat there.

Of course, your most trusted source when it comes to food (and nearly everything else, for that matter) remains your family and friends. And to help you connect more easily with them on Burpple, the app now offers “Find Friends.” With “Find Friends,” you can find fellow Burpplers nearby or from your contacts, Facebook, Twitter, and WeChat.

Designed for iPhone, and already optimized for iPhone 5, Burpple is available in the App Store for free.

The new version of the app also includes improved search, toggling between grid and feed view, and a new place profile that showcases related food moments. Burpp!
