Innovative Sci-Fi Graphic Novel Upgrade Soul Gets Upgraded With Cool Extras
Upgrade Soul, the sci-fi graphic novel app from Ruben & Lullaby and Strange Rain developer Opertoon, has just received its first ever upgrade. Upgrade Soul totally blew me away when it debuted in the App Store late last month. Just when I thought I had seen everything the iOS platform had to offer as far as interactive reading experiences were concerned, Upgrade Soul came and easily exceeded my expectations. The story of a couple of science buffs engaged in an experiment gone horribly wrong, Upgrade Soul is the first app to use the Opertoonity engine. This makes for fluid navigation, interactive 3-D, and dynamic music calibrated to perfection by Opertoon with writer and illustrator Ezra Claytan Daniels and composer Alexis Gideon. Currently, the app contains the first two chapters of the story. Chapter 1 is available as a free download, while Chapter 2, like each of the upcoming chapters, is available via in-app purchase. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. The next chapter, Chapter 3, is set to arrive soon. And ahead of its Chapter 3 update, the app has just received an intermediate update that brings a bunch of extras and improvements:
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, Upgrade Soul is available in the App Store for free. Download it now and upgrade your sci-fi graphic novel reading experience. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
