DreamWorks Animation is set to drop “Rise of the Guardians,” its newest 3-D computer-animated offering, in theaters on Nov. 21. Ahead of the release date, the animation studio has launched a game to tie in with the upcoming fantasy adventure film. The game is called DreamWorks Dash n Drop.
Avid observers of anything and everything concerned with DreamWorks will no doubt recognize the game’s name to be somewhat similar to DreamWorks’ Dragons: TapDragonDrop.
Indeed, DreamWorks Dash n Drop also shares a somewhat similar gameplay with the older game released last May as a tie-in for the TV series based on DreamWorks’ “How to Train Your Dragon.”
As in DreamWork’s Dragons: TapDragonDrop, you’re tasked to retrieve things that have somehow been scattered everywhere. But unlike in DreamWork’s Dragons: TapDragonDrop, where you have to rescue scattered sheep, you have to get back scattered presents in DreamWorks Dash n Drop.

Using the titular Guardians’ magical sleigh, you have to dash your way across the evening sky as you collect and drop Christmas presents to children.
You also have to grab the poor elves, collectible coins, and awesome power-ups along the way. All this while you’re also busy avoiding or fighting the evil Nightmare creatures that seek to thwart your mission.
Designed for both iPhone and iPad, DreamWorks Dash n Drop is available now in the App Store for the half-off introductory price of $0.99.
Download and play it now, before you dash and drop onto theaters next week for “Rise of the Guardians.”
