Even though ArtStudio is one of the most feature-rich drawing, painting, and editing apps for iOS, that doesn’t mean Lucky Clan isn’t continuing to make improvements. Seemingly addressing customer feedback, the recently released ArtStudio for iPhone v5.2 contains a few new customization options to better mold the app to the user’s preferences.
With such a large set of tools available within ArtStudio, Lucky Clan needed to deploy multiple ways of accessibility. However, what they may feel is an efficient layout isn’t necessary what you may feel is the best organization. Therefore, there’s a need to customize the user interface as desired.
Already before the latest version, ArtStudio included Settings options to configure the app’s several recognized gestures and the gesture activated Quick Menu. The action selection consists of frequently used tools and commands, such as switching to the eraser or showing layers. In ArtStudio for iPhone v5.2 and ArtStudio for iPad v5.5, artists now have the choice to assign the Show “Colors” action to the Quick Menu, a gesture, or both.
Also part of the latest ArtStudio releases is a completely new Settings section, Tools. Placed within this area is a Reorder Tools button, which opens up a list of the lower toolbar items, i.e., pencil, eraser, paint brush, etc. Every item on this list has the familiar finger grip / list icon at the right. Just tap and hold on that three bar icon, then drag to rearrange the tool order to provide quicker access at the canvas.
