That’s right, and I quote from the release notes of the app’s new update: “Quote.fm is now a universal app. It works on your iPhone as well as on your iPad.”
But perhaps that “as well as” is not entirely correct. The app’s new iPhone version is not, shall we say, as well-featured as the original iPad version.
You see, Quote.fm for iPad lets you find new articles as well as read the ones you’ve already saved. But Quote.fm for iPhone, while designed as nicely as its iPad counterpart, is limited to reading mode only.
If you can’t see the video embedded above, please click here.
With the iPhone app, you can:
- See what you’ve saved for later reading and read it when you’ve got the time.
- Add new articles to your Reading List with the in-app Web browser.
- See who else read and quoted the article you’re reading and comment on their quotes.
- Quote the article you’re reading and recommend it to your friends.
Not bad, eh? But not to worry. As the development team behind Quote.fm promises, “A full-fledged version two is on its way, featuring a totally new Quote.fm experience for iPhone and iPad.”
Now compatible with both iPad and iPhone, the newly updated Quote.fm is available now in the App Store for free.
