If You Don't Like iPhone Rumors, Don't Read This Article

The latest iPhone rumor comes from a publication not always known for getting the story right. DigiTimes reports that Apple is working on bringing a lower-priced iPhone to market later this year that will include a much larger display. The new iPhone is said to “meet the prevailing trend for the adoption of 5-inch displays for high-end models.” The report suggests that the handset will include a “brand new exterior design.” This isn’t the first time that we’ve heard that Apple is working on a lower-priced iPhone. Numerous reports in recent days have suggested that Apple’s next handset will come in multiple colors and sizes. Each story, including the one from DigiTimes, suggests the main reason Apple may produce such a model would be to better compete in China and other emerging markets.
