KitCam Update Adds A Number Of Improvements To The Powerful Camera App

January 16, 2013
One of our favorite apps here at AppAdvice, KitCam, has just been updated with a host of new features and improvements. And the changes are apparent from the startup as the app now launches and resumes much faster. Another major improvement in version 1.3 is the addition of Instagram tags. When users share a photo to the service, the default caption and tags will be sent along with the photo. Users can even automatically tag their creations with which KitCam lenses, films, and lenses were used. Default caption and other options can be modified from the Settings screen. Camera hardware and software information is now also added to the photo EXIF data. Also, the battery warning and other notifications will no longer stop video and timelapse recording. There is also a number of other small tweaks and improvements. Even though KitCam has only been in the App Store for a little less than two months, it has garnered a strong amount of praise from the AppAdvice staff. In our original review, Christine Chan said it is a worthy and complete iPhone photography solution. And after winning honorable mention in our AppAdvice App of the Week award, it was named one of our Top 10 Paid iPhone Apps for 2012. The app is designed for the iPhone and iPod touch, but is compatible with the iPad. It can be purchased in the App Store now for $0.99. There are opportunities to buy other lens and film packs via in-app purchases.
