Yesterday, we told you about Pogo Connect, a pressure-sensitive smart pen that’s compatible with a number of iPad apps. One of these apps is the feature-rich note-taking app NoteBinder, which has just received a major update.
Actually, the app’s latest update includes none other than support for Pogo Connect.
NoteBinder’s integration with the popular stylus from Ten One Deisgn boasts quick Bluetooth setup, automatic reconnection, no calibration, and wrist protection.
It also works with the pen’s built-in button, which lets you control certain app actions. Press the button once to toggle between pen selections, and press and hold it to add a new page.
Outside of its enhanced smart pen integration, the new version of NoteBinder gains quite a few other improvements.
It now has improved PDF resolution for Retina display, improved pen smoothness, and improved pen size and opacity selection view.

In addition, it offers support for a couple of backup and collaboration services, namely, WebDAV and Google Drive.
The ability to delete custom backgrounds and the ability to timestamp sensitive notes are also included in the latest version of NoteBinder. So are the following enhancements:
- Faster Contents Viewer action
- Higher page zoom magnification – up to 4X
- Improved undo/redo performance
- iOS 6 testing and compatibility fixes
- Improved page turning response
- Many other miscellaneous enhancements and a handful of bug repairs
Compatible with iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, NoteBinder is available in the App Store for $6.99.
