Since its release in the App Store in May last year, Yahoo! TimeTraveler has undergone a number of updates. But these updates were but minor updates. Save for one, that is. And that one is none other than the app’s latest update.
But first, what exactly is Yahoo! TimeTraveler? Nope, as its name might suggest, the app in no way similar in function to, say, the TARDIS or a certain DeLorean.
Rather, Yahoo! TimeTraveler is so named because it’s Yahoo!’s way of offering you auto-generated custom travel plans based on the start and end points and the time you have available.
It allows you to easily plan your trips around different types of attractions in the following supported cities:
Amsterdam, Athens, Atlanta, Austin, Baltimore, Bangkok, Barcelona, Berlin, Boston, Budapest, Buenos Aires, Cancun, Chicago, Christchurch, Colorado Springs, Dallas, Denver, Detroit, Dubai, Dublin, Edinburgh, Florence, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Honolulu, Houston, Istanbul, Kuala Lumpur, Las Vegas, London, Los Angeles, Madrid, Marrakech, Mexico City, Miami, Milan, Minneapolis, Montreal, Mumbai, New Delhi, New Orleans, New York, Orlando, Paris, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, Prague, Rio de Janeiro, Rome, San Antonio, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Seoul, Singapore, Sydney, Taipei, Tampa, Tokyo, Toronto, Vancouver, Venice, Vienna, Washington DC.
As mentioned, Yahoo! TimeTraveler has just received its biggest update yet.
The new update adds new cities, new travel modes, and new functions to help you create personalized trip plans.
It also adds support for the four-inch Retina display of the iPhone 5 and the fifth-generation iPod touch.
And last but certainly not the least, it delivers a complete redesign of the app featuring improved performance and enhanced usability.
Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.1 or later, the new version of Yahoo! TimeTraveler is available now in the App Store for free.
