The App Store takes delivery of hundreds of new apps per day. The overwhelming scene makes it possible to easily overlook an exciting game, valuable productivity suite, etc. However, we have a solution. Today’s Best Apps tackles this problem by providing you with a handpicked and tested list of apps that are truly worth your consideration each and everyday.

Universal:

3ILLIARDS by 3R Studio LTD ($0.99, 11.7 MB): Get your fix of billiards action any time and anywhere. Play 8-Ball, 9-Ball, or Snooker in practice mode, against the AI, or versus a friend. The game features great 3-D graphics, trajectory indicators, plus allows adjustments of power, angle, and even cue contact positioning. An ad-supported trial version is also available.

Flying Boy by Sungsik Oh (Free, 43.6 MB): Help a little boy go higher than he ever has before. However, this isn’t a completely typical endless climbing game. For one, it isn’t endless, there’s a 50-second climbing window that can be extended. Another difference is that missing platforms doesn’t result in “Game Over.” Instead, the boy just bounces on a rope and ends up wasting time. In addition, collected coins can be used to unlock character upgrades and power-ups.

Hamster Chase by Gamieon, Inc. ($0.99, 27.4 MB): In this adorable physics puzzler, your job is to get the hamsters to their cozy beds in maze-style levels. The beds are color-coded to match the appropriate hamster. To move the hamsters, which are conveniently inside their hamster balls, just tilt your iDevice. You must be strategic to avoid Sour Puss and other hazardous obstacles, plus being blocked as the balls are locked in place once reaching the correct destination. The game includes 100 levels as well as Twitter and Facebook integration. A trial version is also available.

iPad:

Pony Dash HD by KLAP by Klap Edutainment ($0.99, 9.8 MB): In this adorable endless running game, your child helps a cute pony eagerly gallop its way down the road on a warm summer day. All it takes is a simple tap to help the little pony make small leaps to collect coins, carrots, apples, hay, and other goodies as well as to avoid obstacles, such as logs and large mushrooms. The game features beautiful cartoon-style graphics and a very gentle difficulty curve.
