How To Edit The Sender Name Of Your Email

Whether you’re new to iOS, or just want to pick up some useful tips and tricks, we're here to help. This is iOS Advice. Have you ever received an email and noticed that the name in bold is actually their email address? This happens because the sender name of the email account is set up wrong within the Settings app. Regardless of what the name may be, if it’s not the person's name, it might be set up incorrectly. Luckily, there’s a way to edit the sender name of your email account. Step 1: Launch the Settings app and tap on “Mail, Contacts, Calendars.” Step 2: Next, tap on the email account that you’d like to edit. Step 3: Tap on the “Account” row at the top of the screen. On the next screen, edit the “Name” field at the top. Now, tap on “Done” in the top right corner of the screen. If you'd like to edit an iCloud sender name, tap on "Advanced" at the bottom of the "Account" screen to edit the "Name" field. It’s important to note that the sender name for an exchange account is stored on the exchange server.
