Kamera Allows You To Quickly Access Your Device’s Front Or Rear Camera

February 19, 2013
If you take a lot of photos on your iOS device, you may fall in love with this new Cydia tweak. Sometimes I get annoyed when selecting the front or rear camera on my iOS device. First, you have to open the Camera app, wait a second or two for it to load, then tap on the small button to switch cameras. While that may not be annoying to some people, Kamera adds the ability to easily select one of your device's cameras. This jailbreak tweak puts a widget in your Notification Center that allows you to quickly choose which camera you’d like to use. When Kamera is installed and enabled, you can pull down the Notification Center to reveal two new buttons labeled “Front Camera” and “Rear Camera.” When you tap on either of these buttons, the Camera app will immediately launch to the camera that you’ve selected. It’s one of the best ways I’ve found to launch either of the cameras on my device and there’s absolutely no lag involved. Currently, Kamera is available in the ModMyi repository for free. At the moment, this tweak is only compatible with iPhone and iPod touch. Check it out and let us know what you think in the comments.
