Social Sketching App Colorized Gains New Photo, Text And Search Features

February 22, 2013
Colorized, the social sketching and photo-sharing app from Happiness Engines, has just been updated to version 2.2. Previously featured here on AppAdvice on the occasion of its huge 2.0 update, Colorized offers a variety of tools for creating fun masterpieces out of sketches and photos. These tools include free-form drawing enhancements, stamps, filters, and, of course, colors. Colorized 2.2 introduces several new features that make the app's already easy creative process even easier. In the latest version of the app, you can now start a sketch with an image from the Web via online search. That's in addition to starting with a new snapshot, a photo from your camera roll, or a blank canvas. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. The newly updated app also lets you add text directly to your sketches or sketches of other Colorized users. Moreover, new decorative stamps are included in the update. So are new photo filters, including Natural, Toon, Sketch, B&W, Champagne, Monday, and Elegance. And if, like me, you'd rather not log in to the app using Facebook, then you'd be delighted to know that Facebook login is no longer required in Colorized. Now, you can choose to log in with Facebook, Twitter, or your email account. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running on iOS 6.0 or later, Colorized 2.2 is available now in the App Store for free.
