Angry Birds Star Wars Hyperdrives Into Cloud City In Upcoming Update

March 22, 2013
The forecast for Angry Birds Star Wars seems to be cloudy with a chance of carbonite freezing. A new 15-second trailer has just surfaced on GameTrailers, and it teases a new Cloud City episode update to Angry Birds Star Wars. As its title suggests, the upcoming episode is going to be set in Cloud City, the floating city of the planet Bespin first featured in "Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back." If you'll recall, Cloud City is where Han Solo and Princess Leia winds up at following their escape from Hoth. It makes sense then for Rovio to release the Cloud City episode in Angry Birds Star Wars following the Hoth episode, which was added to the game late last January. Cloud City is also where poor Han Solo ended up being frozen in carbonite. And this plot point is hinted at by the upcoming episode's teaser, which shows Angry Birds Han Solo, well, being frozen in carbonite. Take a look: If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. No release date has been announced for the arrival of the Cloud City episode. But we'll definitely let you know the moment it arrives in Angry Birds Star Wars. An AppAdvice Game of the Week honoree, Angry Birds Star Wars is available for both iPhone and iPad. Angry Birds Star Wars for iPhone and Angry Birds Star Wars HD for iPad are priced at $0.99 and $2.99, respectively.
