Cydia Tweak: Tap To Widgets Adds Notes, Reminders And Calendar To Notification Center

March 21, 2013
I’m a big fan of Cydia tweaks that blend in with the native user interface in iOS. When you combine a native-like design with functionality, you’re almost guaranteed to be successful in the tweak world. Tap to Widgets is a new Cydia tweak that brings together these great characteristics. This tweak has proven to be very useful in my daily activities, yet it doesn’t interfere with the simplicity of my iOS experience. Tap to Widgets adds Notification Center shortcuts that will invoke widgets for Notes, Reminders, and Calendar Events. These widgets take inspiration from Apple’s Share Widget within the Notification Center. This will add similar “Tap to” buttons to pull up a small widget for each enabled shortcut. Don't worry, that’s not where the fun ends. Tap to Widgets also gives you the ability to add each widget button individually. Also, if you’d like to use the full widget bar in the Notification Center, removing an individual button will force the toggles to resize and fill the entire row. Overall, I think Tap to Widgets is a beautiful tweak that adds an excellent set of features to your jailbroken iOS device. Another great part about this tweak is that it works perfectly with LockInfo, Dashboard X, and IntelliScreen X. Tap to Widgets is only compatible with iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6 or higher. Tap to Widgets was created by Alan Yip and based on an integration concept by Joshua Tucker. Currently, Tap to Widgets is available in the BigBoss repository for an introductory price of $1.99.
