Get Powered Up With Rovio's New Content Update For Angry Birds Seasons

March 13, 2013
Rovio has been on a roll lately with its updates. In fact, another one has just arrived. This time, the update is for its "perennial" fowl-versus-swine game, Angry Birds Seasons. The latest update to Angry Birds Seasons finally brings power-ups to the game. Introduced in and at the same time as the official Facebook version of Angry Birds, power-ups have been incorporated in other Angry Birds games. These include the original Angry Birds game, Angry Birds Rio, and Angry Birds Space. And now, power-ups have made their way to Angry Birds Seasons as well. Angry Birds Seasons now lets you use a couple of old favorites, namely, Sling Scope and Super Seed. The former provides laser targeting for pinpoint precision, while the latter turns any bird into a pig-popping giant. In addition, Angry Birds Seasons introduces a never-before-seen power-up in the form of Homing Bird. "This hog-seeking hero," says Rovio, "will head with missile force for the first pig to enter his radar!" The new Angry Birds Seasons update also challenges you to unlock up to eight new levels in the Winter Wonderham and Haunted Hogs episodes. How? By earning stars and Mighty Eagle feathers, of course. Compatible with iDevices running iOS 4.3 or later, Angry Birds Seasons for iPhone and Angry Birds Seasons HD for iPad are available in the App Store for $0.99 and $2.99, respectively. Before this new update to Angry Birds Seasons, Rovio has had a crazy past couple of weeks. To recap, Rovio has also done the following: announced the upcoming “Angry Birds Toons,” released the Road Hogs update for Bad Piggies, announced the upcoming The Croods game, released the “SlashBird” update for Angry Birds Space, released a content update for the original Angry Birds and then made it free for the first time as Apple’s Free App of the Week, released the first gameplay trailer for The Croods, released a content update for Angry Birds Rio, and announce that "Angry Birds Toons" will be available to view in all of the existing Angry Birds games on iOS.
