There's Something Fishy Going On At Halfbrick Studios
Halfbrick Studios, the Australian developer best known for creating such hit iOS games as Jetpack Joyride and Fruit Ninja, has just teased its next potential hit. "Something fishy is coming," says the upcoming game's official website, spotted by Touch Arcade. And that something is called Fish Out of Water. And that's pretty much all we know about the game so far. Just the game's name, Fish Out of Water. But as indicated in the website, more details about the game are set to be revealed in seven days. A trailer for the game is also set to surface soon, as teased by Halfbrick on both the Facebook and Twitter pages linked from the website. Apparently, Fish Out of Water, which is expected to feature colorful cartoon graphics, has been in development at Halfbrick for at least five months. A cursory investigation by yours truly has revealed that Halfbrick applied for the "Fish Out of Water" trademark in Australia in October last year. No release date yet is attached to Fish Out of Water. But Halfbrick has confirmed that it is coming to mobile, which, of course, includes iOS. In the meantime, you can enjoy the following existing iOS games from Halfbrick, all of which went free for a day last December: Jetpack Joyride, Fruit Ninja, Fruit Ninja: Puss in Boots, Blast Off, Monster Dash, and Age of Zombies.
