Universal Video Cooking Magazine App Panna Serves Up New Features For iPhone

March 31, 2013
Panna, the video cooking magazine app (touted as the first of its kind) for iOS, has received another update. This update comes a month after Panna was enhanced with its universal update. Also, it arrives three months after it was hailed by us here at AppAdvice as one of our Top 10 Best Free iPad Apps of 2012. This update happens to have something for both the iPhone and iPad editions of the app. It delivers bug fixes to both. But I'm afraid bug fixes are all that Panna for iPad gets to have from the update. Panna for iPhone, on the other hand, gets to have more. First and foremost, Panna for iPhone now has a Chefs tab, which contains profiles for the app's featured chefs along with their contributions. Note that Panna for iPad already has a Chefs tab of its own. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Panna for iPhone now also has an ingredients overlay box in the video player. There's no need for a similar feature in Panna for iPad since the video player doesn't occupy the entire screen on the bigger iDevice. And finally, Panna for iPhone now has the ability to post to Twitter via native iOS Twitter integration. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.1 or later, Panna is available in the App Store for free. Each issue of Panna gives you free access to one recipe, whether or not you opt to buy the full issue. A full issue costs $4.99. But a one-year subscription, which comprises six bimonthly issues, is offered in-app at a 50 percent discount for $14.99. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
