Basecamp Users Rejoice - The iOS App Now Supports Classic

April 5, 2013
Here at AppAdvice we use Basecamp, a Web-based project management tool, for all of our organizational needs. We were super excited when 37signals released a shiny new Basecamp app in February (given the huge lack of adequate mobile Basecamp solutions), but that excitement quickly turned to disappointment when we realized that the app wouldn’t work with Basecamp Classic Projects. That huge oversight was remedied with an update today, which finally added support for Basecamp Classic accounts. I checked it out and while the app is a bit slow to load Classic Projects, it’s still a better solution than was previously available. The new version also sports a number of bug fixes:
-Basecamp Classic accounts now supported! -Fixes a bug where blank pages could appear when switching between sections in a project -Better offline detection -Fixes a bug with accessing archived projects via search results
The official Basecamp app from 37signals can be downloaded from the App Store for free.
