Cydia Tweak: Abstergo Will Change The Way You Manage Notifications

April 17, 2013
Abstergo is an upcoming Cydia that will improve notification management in iOS. This tweak gives you the ability to set reminders for notifications, clear all notifications at once, and also clear individual notifications from the Notification Center or the lock screen. Abstergo isn’t available in Cydia yet, but the developers behind it have kindly provided us with a preview. Like I mentioned, Abstergo allows you to instantly clear all notifications from the lock screen with a single swipe. Alternatively, you can swipe across an individual item to bring up a “Clear” button and dismiss that notification. Check out our video overview below: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-uB4d9nXSc

If you tap and hold on any notification, you’ll be given the option to set a reminder to address it at a later time. This will force the notification to pop up again at a specified day or time in the future. If that’s not enough, you can also tap and hold on a text message bubble within the Messages app to set up a reminder for that specific item. There are a lot of great features packed into Abstergo. In my opinion, this tweak is the best way I’ve found to help manage notifications on my iOS device. Abstergo will be available for $1.99 on April 21, 2013 for jailbroken devices running iOS 6 or higher. Be sure to check out our video preview above and let us know what you think in the comments section.
