Famed iPhone Jailbreaker Comex Headed To Google To Work As An Intern

April 25, 2013
Former iPhone jailbreaker Nicholas Allegra is about to have another fun-filled summer in Silicon Valley. Two years after a summer internship lead to 14 months of employment at Apple, “Comex” is headed to Google. The JailBreakMe creator tweeted the news earlier this week. Allegra, who was fired by Apple in October, is a student at Brown University. His jailbreaking tool, which he created under the pseudonym Comex, was very popular with early iPhone owners. The former jailbreaker didn’t mention what product he would be working on at Google as an intern. However, as Tuaw first noted, it probably won’t be on Android. Allegra once said that he never liked Google’s mobile OS “enough to ever want to hack it.”
