Get Your Zen On While Popping Some Juicy Creatures In Super Snack Time

April 24, 2013
The bubble-popping, I mean, Gobblen-popping game Super Snack Time, which happens to be one of my favorite casual games, has just been updated with a new character costume and, more important, a new game mode. The new character costume is the 8-bit Hoggy costume, fit for anyone who's a fan of snack-sized bytes. You can get this new costume for free under the Eye Candy category in the in-game Shoppe. Now for the more significant addition to Super Snack Time: a new game mode called Zen mode. Previously, Super Snack Time has only two game modes, namely, Quest mode and Arcade mode. Quest mode has you playing to advance from one level to the next, while Arcade mode has you playing for as long as you can until you run out of lives. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. But in the new Zen mode, there are neither levels nor lives. True to its name, Zen mode is practically pressure-free. In Zen mode, you're given a minute and a half to play. And you just try to score as high as you can without worrying about losing a life every time a Gobblen gets away un-popped. As Super Snack Time developer Little Guy Games puts it: "90 seconds of Gobblen-popping insanity!" Compatible with iDevices running iOS 4.3 or later, Super Snack Time for iPhone and Super Snack Time for iPad are both available in the App Store for free. "If you’re looking for a ripe new bubble popping game," wrote Christine in her review of the game here on AppAdvice, "then I highly recommend checking out Super Snack Time."
