It Takes Two Or More To Tango: Popular Messaging App Updated With Group Chat

April 24, 2013
You know what they say: it takes two to tango. But did you know that it can now take more than two to Tango? That's because, at long last, the popular instant messaging app Tango has finally gained support for group chat. Considering that Tango was released on iOS way back in September 2010, the app's group chat feature has really been a long time coming. To start chatting with a group of your friends on Tango, you must first update to the latest version of the app. Then, just tap the "new chat" button and select two or more contacts you want to chat with. A group chatroom is then created, which you can manage by adding more participants, toggling group notifications, and even assigning a group name. Watch the video below for a quick guide on how to take advantage of this long-overdue feature in Tango. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. Note that, like one-to-one chats, Tango group chats let you share photos, videos, and Tango Surprises or animations. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, Tango is available in the App Store for free. Equipped with VOiP support in addition to instant messaging, Tango is included in AppAdvice's AppGuide for Video Calling. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
