Simple Yet Challenging Action Puzzler PUK Goes Universal And Multitouch In First Update

April 28, 2013
What the PUK? That there is no typo, nor is it a profanity. PUK actually refers to an iOS game that requires you to do nothing but shoot pucks toward your targets. And that game has recently shot into its first update. PUK is an action puzzler where you have only one objective. That objective is simple: do not miss. But it's not as easy as it sounds … and looks, judging by its trailer below. In PUK, you have to pull back to fling the so-called PUKs in order to get rid of portals. The challenge lies in your having only a limited number of PUKs and only a limited amount of time to obliterate all of the portals in every level of the game. And then there's the added trouble of having to work your way around various obstacles. Don't worry, though, as PUK could be as fun as it is challenging. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. When PUK was launched on iOS late last month, it was optimized for iPhone and iPod touch only. But the game is now optimized for iPad and iPad mini as well, as it has gained universal support through its first update. The update also brings multitouch support, enabling you to shoot two or more PUKs at the same time. Native Facebook sharing for scores is also included in the update, as are scoreboards, which you can customize for today, this week, or all time. The update also delivers the following fixes:
  • No longer possible to have left over PUKs
  • Time added to Black levels after warning or call interruptions
  • Shake sensitivity increased
  • Scoreboard now fills iPhone 5 screen
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad, PUK is available in the App Store for $0.99. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
