Star Command To Phaser-Blast Its Way Into The App Store On May 2

April 29, 2013
Star Command for iOS is inbound, and will be launching in the App Store on May 2. The long-awaited application, which started life as a Kickstarter project that met its funding goal back in October 2011, borrows heavily from aspects of the Star Trek series, and promises to deliver an impressive sci-fi/strategy gaming experience. The app's developer, War Balloon, has recently uploaded a brand new trailer for Star Command to the Web, in which the May 2 launch date was announced. As you can see in the above video, in Star Command players must build their own spaceship, hire a crew, explore the universe, and do battle with unforgiving alien beings. The application features retro graphics, an impressive score, and - fortunately - will not support in-app purchases.

Star Command for iOS will launch with a price tag of $2.99. We'll let you know once the upcoming application appears in the App Store.
