Today, canvas photo-printing company Pixuru has launched a new app that lets users turn their iPhone pictures into wall art. The next time you take that adorable picture of your pup, you can turn it into the centerpiece for your living room. When your friends come over and rave about how nice your artwork is, you can brag about how it is from your original collection.
Pixuru offers a photo-printing service that lets you turn practically any digital photograph, into high-quality wall art. Whether you are using your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to take pictures, Pixuru will blow it up and mount it. Their patent-pending printing process and technology makes it possible to enlarge a picture without disrupting the integrity of the image.
The iOS app, which just launched in the App Store today, allows users to upload a photo from their iPhone, or pick an image from their Instagram or Facebook account. Then choose from either canvas, wood, metal, or framed mounts and edit the final image right in the app. If you like what you see, you can order the size you want and have it delivered for free.
“Our groundbreaking printing process eliminates the need for most people to own a digital camera. We can enlarge any picture from their smartphone to the size of their couch and it will still look impeccable,” Pixuru founder Adam Fried said. “Pixuru is next step in the evolution of digital photography.”
Mounted art pieces range in size from 6 x 6 for the smallest print to four 12 x 12 panels for the largest print. Prices range from $20 to $120, depending on your selection.
The largest print available from within the app is 10 x 40-inches or 24 x 30-inches. Within a few days, the company’s website will be updated to allow for even larger, custom ordered prints.
Pixuru also offers photo prints on iPhone and iPad cases. ranging in price from $35 to $59.
