Griffin’s Survivor + Catalyst Waterproof Case For The iPhone 5 Is Now Available

May 23, 2013
Just in time for summer, Griffin has announced that the Survivor + Catalyst Waterproof Case for the iPhone 5 is now available. First shown off at CES 2013 in Las Vegas, the case is a partnership between Griffin and Catalyst Lifestyle. Designed to be waterproof up to almost 10 feet deep, users can still access all ports and other functions of the iPhone 5. Thanks to button covers that provide protection without limiting access, users can still take advantage of all of the iPhone’s capabilities, including taking photos, talking on the phone, and even recharging the battery. Probably the standout feature of the case is the ability for users to visually inspect the O-ring seal to make sure that the case is ready to protect an iPhone 5 underwater. The case also protects a handset from falls of up to 6.6 feet. A sealed designed keeps out dust, grease, sand, and other environmental hazards. Here's a video that shows the case in action. Recently, the waterproof case market got a little smaller as OtterBox announced it is acquiring rival LifeProof.
