Last weekend, I told you about the latest update to the official iOS app of Polyvore, the popular site that lets you create image collages of stylish products. Now, I'm going to tell you about the latest update to Bazaart, an iOS app that may be best described as "Polyvore meets Pinterest."
Bazaart is a content creation app that lets you make collages out of your own Pinterest images. On top of that, Bazaart is a social networking app that lets you connect with and be inspired by other users in the Bazaart community.
Released over a year ago as an iPad-only app, Bazaart has just received an update that brings, among others, its long-overdue universal support.
At long last, Bazaart is now compatible with iPhone and iPod touch as well as iPad.
Well, perhaps not "as well," since Bazaart for iPhone and iPod touch is limited to exploration and discovery only. But it does support liking and commenting on collages, which have just been added to Bazaart. Rest assured that it's said to gain support for collage creation soon.
For now, collage creation is available only in Bazaart for iPad. And as it happens, the latest update to the app brings several improvements for collage creation.
These include the ability to clone and flip images. There's also a new collage reconstruction animation that enables you to start remixing other collages right where their original creators left off.
And if you have no Pinterest account to begin with, you can still make collages by taking advantage of another new feature in Bazaart. This new feature allows you to select images from the new Popular Boards, which feature great-looking pins that are yours for the taking and collage-making.
Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, the new version of Bazaart is available now in the App Store for free.
The new Bazaart update also offers seamless sharing to Facebook and Twitter upon completion of your collage creation.
