See For Yourself: TodoMovies Introduces Teaser Trailer-Like Motion Posters

Just over a month after it received it blockbuster 2.0 update, TodoMovies has already been updated to version 2.1 with a neat new feature, among other improvements. Version 2.1 of the popular to-do app for movies introduces motion posters. Motion posters are movie posters that are suggestive of movie teasers. As TodoMovies developer Taphive rightly remarks, "Well, you have to see them for yourself." At the moment, films with motion posters in TodoMovies include "Iron Man," "Iron Sky," "Sinister," "Dredd," "The Wolverine," "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire," and "Star Trek Into Darkness," which is featured in the video below: If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. TodoMovies 2.1 also introduces the following new gestures:
  • In your To watch list, right swipe on a movie to mark it as Watched. Left swipe to delete.
  • In your Watched list, right swipe on a movie to mark it as To Watch. Left swipe to delete.
  • In the search, short swipe to add a movie to your To Watch. Long swipe to mark a movie as watched.
  • Tap-hold on the + button in your To Watch list to bypass Discovery and jump directly into the search. Teleportation, it exists!
Additionally, TodoMovies 2.1 adds support for the "todomovies:// " URL scheme, which is perfect for Launch Center Pro aficionados. Also, it adds an option for gifting the app, while removing the "weirdo watched pocket" on the movie posters of films you've watched. Optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later, TodoMovies 2.1 is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $1.99 download.
