Bring Your Videos To Life With Vine-Like Video-Sharing App Lightt

June 15, 2013
When Twitter launched Vine launched January, it probably didn't expect the app's release to signal the advent of tap-and-hold short video recording. But it apparently did, as a number of apps that feature that particular way of shooting video have cropped up. While many of these apps were released following Vine's successful launch, some gained Vine-like features after being markedly different video-sharing apps at the outset. One such app is Cinemagram. Another is Lightt, which has just become quite Vine-like with its 2.0 update. Previously, Lightt had the primary feature of letting you easily capture any experience in seven seconds. Now, Lightt 2.0 lets you capture any experience in a seamless series of clips that can run for as long as a minute. Just tap and hold the new, colorful record button (which looks the same as Lightt's new icon) to capture full video and audio, and let go to stop. If you wish to record more, tap and hold and let go again. You can then edit your series of clips by deleting any segment and tapping to add visual filters or to remove audio. You can post your creations to your Lightt timeline or, optionally, to a Lightt channel. You can also share them via Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, or email. Lightt 2.0 is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
