One of my favorite features in iOS 7 is the ability to swipe to close apps within the redesigned app switcher. This swipe to close concept is nothing new, in fact, jailbreak tweaks have been providing this functionality for quite some time.

Today, we’re looking at another addition to this massive collection of app switcher tweaks. Slide2Kill Pro is a new tweak that allows you to easily close your apps with a simple gesture.

As you may have guessed based on it’s name, the tweak works by setting swipe gestures to close one, or all of the apps that are currently open on your device. By default, if you’d like to close an app, swipe up on its icon. Alternatively, you can close all running apps by swiping down within the app switcher.

Unfortunately, this tweak doesn’t provide anything that we haven’t seen in the past. In my testing, the tweak seemed to be a little buggy, but judge for yourself and check out our video overview of Slide2Kill Pro.

Within the Settings app, you’ll find options to configure the swipe sensitivity for each gesture as well as set up a custom action to either the up or down swipe gesture. As we demonstrated in the video above, this tweak seemed to cause issues when attempting to swipe between the open apps within the app switcher. We had trouble navigating through all of the open apps without accidentally triggering Slide2Kill’s primary feature. It was a bit annoying, but can be overlooked after getting used to how the tweak interacts with app icons.

Settings for Slide2Kill Pro.

Slide2Kill Pro, as its name suggests, it a pro/redefined version of another tweak from the same developer with a similar name. This tweak may not be for everyone, but if you’re looking for an easy way to close apps on your device, and can overlook its small issues, Slide2Kill Pro may be for you. Currently, Slide2Kill Pro is available in the BigBoss repository for $0.99.
