Fear Not The Black Screen Of Death Brought About By Temple Run: Oz's New Update

June 11, 2013
Temple Run: Oz, the official tie-in game of Disney's "Oz the Great and Powerful," has just received another notable update. This new update brings, along with the usual performance enhancements and bug fixes, a new playable character and new costumes for the title character. With the new version of Temple Run: Oz, you can now run as China Girl and change Oz's costume:
  • All-new China Girl – though tiny in size, she is packed with speed and a big attitude!
  • Brand new Oz costumes – run in top hat outfit or mysterious magician robe!
Note that after installing the update, you might find that all that's shown after launching the game is its splash screen followed by a black screen of death. Fear not: the Wicked Witch of the West hasn't cast an evil spell on your device or on the game itself. If you encounter said black screen, just wait for a few minutes and the game is likely to initiate as usual, with the pesky flying monkeys swooping into view for you to endlessly run from. The new version of Temple Run: Oz is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $0.99 download. The game is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later. The game's previous update, which, by the way, worked wonderfully, introduced a new Winkie Country location, new Wikie guard obstacles, a new head start power-up, and a new leaderboard.
