Redesigned Photos App In iOS 7 Zooms Into View In This Hands-On Video

With the advent of iOS 7, Apple's preinstalled iOS apps have all received a significant redesign. Included in this batch overhaul is, of course, the Photos app, which is the focus of the hands-on preview video we have for you right here.
As in iOS 6, the Photos app in iOS 7 displays your albums as well as your shared photos and videos (if you have Photo Sharing enabled). But the redesigned Photos app in the new version of iOS introduces a new Photos section that sorts your photos in several ways.
As you can see in Dom's demo video below, the Photos app's Photos section opens to the Years view. This view shows all of your photos grouped by the year they were taken, with the locations where they were taken indicated opposite each year.

Tapping the banner that contains the year and locations takes you to a screen that maps out your photos. Below the banner is a neat photo grid, which you can swipe across to zoom into your photos.
Tapping on the grid takes you to the Collections view, which sorts photos by location and also presents a different photo grid.
Tapping on this new grid, in turn, takes you to the Moments view, which sorts photos into time periods of various lengths. The idea is that photos are grouped together on the assumption that they're taken around the same moment or occasion.
Finally, tapping on any photo in the Moments view shows that photo in full. You can then apply certain actions to the photo and share it via AirDrop or social media. You can also edit the photo by rotating, auto-enhancing, or cropping it.
