Calendars+ by Readdle ($6.99 → Free, 15.4 MB): Whether you use Apple’s built-in Calendar or Google Calendar, you’re going to enjoy this elegant productivity app. It automatically syncs with both services, making it easy to transition from whatever app you were previously using. When creating an event you’re able to invite people, have it repeat, and even receive reminders via email, SMS, or push. Events can be moved and their durations changed just by dragging and dropping them. You’re also able to search for events by name. Star Defender 3 ($1.99 → Free, 20.0 MB): Blast through waves of Insectus invaders in this space shooter. Just slide your finger across the left side of the screen to control your ship’s movements. Buttons on the right side allow you to fire your primary and secondary weapons. Wipe out wave after wave of enemies and collect the power-ups they drop to help your cause. The game includes eight missions, 100 levels, loads of weapons and power-ups, and leaderboards and achievements via Game Center.
