Cydia Tweak: StatusHUD Merges The Status Bar And Volume HUD

July 14, 2013
StatusHUD is a new jailbreak tweak that merges the status bar and the volume heads-up display (HUD) in Apple's iOS. Once enabled, users will find that when adjusting the volume levels on an iDevice, the volume HUD, which usually appears in the center of the iDevice's screen, will instead appear in the status bar (as pictured above). This means that adjusting the volume will no longer block out the content displayed on an iDevice's screen, such as a Web page, video, or an iOS app or game. When in full-screen mode, jailbreakers will find that adjusting the volume results in the status bar appearing only briefly, before disappearing again. In the Settings app, users can enable or disable StatusHUD, and may also choose from one of two styles (squares or circles).
