Discover More Interesting Tags And Blogs With Tumblr For iOS' Updated Explore Tab

July 10, 2013
Tumblr for iOS has just received a new major update that delivers a "brand new discovery experience." The latest update to the official iOS app of the popular blogging and social networking app is aimed at significantly improving the app's Explore tab. Where Tumblr for iOS previously focused on tags, the newly updated app now focuses on blogs as well as tags in its improved Explore tab. Not only can you search tags in the app, but you can now also search for Tumblr blogs. And for any tag you search, the app now recommends popular related blogs for you to follow. All of your tracked tags are still accessible right below the search field as soon as you tap it. And listed below your tracked tags are all of the featured tags. In addition, the updated Explore tab features a redesigned interface that highlights trending tags and blogs. The new version of Tumblr is available now in the App Store for free. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later. The app's previous update introduced an OS X fan-like post type chooser and added support for app attribution. That update arrived just a couple of days after the acquisition of the Tumblr platform itself by Yahoo to the tune of $1.1 billion. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
