Evernote For iOS Updated With Shortcuts Feature, Skitch Integration And More
Evernote for iOS has just received a new major update that includes a Shortcuts feature and Skitch integration, among other improvements. Formerly called Favorites on iPhone, the new Shortcuts feature gives you quick access not only to your favorite notes but also to your favorite tags and notebooks. What's more, this feature comes with cross-platform syncing, so you can access your Shortcuts from any of your devices that run Evernote. Another significant feature added by the latest update to the official iOS app of Evernote is Skitch integration. Acquired by Evernote in 2011, Skitch is a popular service for marking up images and PDFs. And now, it's integrated into Evernote for iOS. To take advantage of this feature, you must already have the Skitch app installed on your iDevice. Just tap on an image in a note and tap the Skitch icon to annotate the image. But if you want to annotate a PDF in a note, you must already be an Evernote Premium user. You can then open a PDF in Skitch for markup purposes. Premium users can actually toggle between seeing related notes or recent notes at the bottom of open notes. But whether you're a Premium user or not, you can see a display of your recently viewed notes. Compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later, the new version of Evernote is available now in the App Store for free. You can upgrade to Evernote Premium from within the app for $4.99 per month or $44.99 per year. The newly updated app also includes a new Announcements section that presents the latest news and updates from Evernote. In addition, it includes a link to submit a support request right from the app. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
