It’s time to meet the neighbors in The Sims FreePlay.

The popular freemium edition of Electronic Arts’ The Sims has just received another update.

As a result of this update, you can now send your Sim out into the real, I mean, virtual world and visit the towns of other real-word FreePlayers. Note, though, that before you can do so, you must have already reached level 9 of The Sims FreePlay.

The newly updated The Sims FreePlay also lets you earn Social Points by completing the new Social Goals. As well, it invites you to live the wonderful Nordic life by building the new Scandinavian house.

And whether your house is of Scandinavian style or otherwise, you can use the game’s new furniture line, with new items released each week, to make your lovely abode even lovelier.

The new version of The Sims FreePlay is available now in the App Store for free. The game is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 4.3 or later.

Last month, The Sims FreePlay was updated with a weather machine from the game’s friendly little green alien, along with other cool content, including a snow park, a figure skating hobby, and snow wear.
