Purchase Movie Tickets Directly Through The Updated IMDb Movies & TV App

Entertainment app IMDb Movies & TV has just been updated to version 3.3, adding a number of new and interesting features. First up, probably the biggest part of the update is the ability to purchase movie tickets directly through the app. The feature is currently only for users in the United States. Also, the update adds more biographies for both well-known and new celebrities. Making it easier to purchase a movie or show on DVD or Blu-ray Disc, users can now search with the Amazon Mobile app, if it is installed on your iOS device. And tapping the Coming Soon bar above the title on upcoming movies adds the release date as an event to your calendar. Finally, just for the iPhone version of the app, the movie and celebrity pages have been updated to include one-tap access to the full cast/full filmography. Users can also adds movies and TV shows to their watchlist by selecting the flag. A universal app designed for the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad/iPad mini, IMDb Movies & TV can be downloaded now in the App Store for free. After moving up to version 3.0 late last year, the app’s last major update before today was in February. That version brought integration with Amazon’s Instant Video service.
