Angry Birds Friends Updated With Toons Channel And Support For Special Tourneys
Angry Birds Friends for iOS has just received a new update. The update brings Rovio's popular Toons Channel and adds support for upcoming special themed tournaments. With the new Toons Channel, you can now watch full Angry Birds Toons episodes and other Angry Birds videos right within Angry Birds Friends. Angry Birds Toons is an animated series based on Rovio's hugely popular bird-slinging and pig-popping game franchise. It premiered in mid-March on iOS through all of the Angry Birds games that had been available then for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad: the original Angry Birds, Angry Birds Seasons, Angry Birds Rio, Angry Birds Space, and Angry Birds Star Wars. Originally a Facebook game, Angry Birds Friends was released on iOS early last May, about a couple of months after the premiere of Angry Birds Toons. Now, over three months after its launch on iOS, Angry Birds Friends has finally been updated with a dedicated Toons Channel. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. In addition, Angry Birds Friends has been updated with support for upcoming tournaments with special themes, new graphics, and more interactive levels. Also including miscellaneous fixes and improvements, the new version of Angry Birds Friends is available now in the App Store for free. The game is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 4.3 or later. Initially, Facebook login was required in order to play Angry Birds Friends. But the game's previous update, which was issued a month ago, removed the Facebook login requirement. However, connecting to Facebook does enable you to play with your Facebook friends, collect daily rewards, and earn bird coins. For other recent Rovio-related news, check out Oink, Oink!
