Apple's iOS 7 Beta 5 Is All About Colors And Adding Finishing Touches

August 6, 2013
We’re just starting to take a look at the fifth iOS 7 beta. What we’ve noticed so far is that this version is decidedly more stable than iOS 7 beta 4. In addition, the new version adds plenty of new colors in certain locations.

Settings App

As you can see above, the icons in the Settings app for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Do Not Disturb, among others, are decidedly more colorful than in past beta versions. This change is noticeable on both the iPhone/iPod touch and iPad.

Screens that match your iPhone's color

In addition, Apple has changed the color of the install screen to match the color of your iPhone model. For example, I own a white iPhone 5. As a result, the install screen includes a black Apple icon with a white background. This change also affects the startup screen as you can see below: Interestingly, Apple has not included this change on the iPad, at least in this beta. We’ve heard plenty of rumors in recent months that the “iPhone 5S” will come in multiple colors. This suggests that a users’ start screen will, in fact, match that color. AppAdvice will have more to say about iOS 7 beta 5. Come back often for updates.
