Hasbro is out with a brand new game on iOS. It’s called BeyWarriors, and it’s based on Hasbro’s Beyblade Shogun Steel spinning top toy line, which in turn is based on the Japanese manga of the same name.
BeyWarriors is basically a top-down hack-and-slash game that has you slicing enemies on an epic quest:
You are about to embark on the ultimate trial of the BeyWarrior! As part of their training, every BeyWarrior travels to the mystical Temple of Storm to unlock their true power. But something unbelievable has happened in the high mountains where the Temple lies. One night, a tremendous thunderstorm began hammering the Temple. One roaring bolt of lightning struck its Sacred Chamber with such immense dark power that it split the whole land into two halves and created the Rift. From this corrupting Rift came hordes of dark ninjas and mages. Go to the Temple of Storm, find your true power and send back evil to where it came from!
Along the way, you get to ride on top of Spinners, from which you can perform special attacks against your enemies. Attack the Shrine of Peace to buy new weapons in the in-game store using your collected coins, upgrade your weapons and armors, and change your BeyWarriors character.
BeyWarriors is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iOS 5.0 or later on the following devices: iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, fourth-generation iPod touch, fifth-generation iPod touch, iPad 2, third-generation iPad, fourth-generation iPad, and iPad mini.
The game also features a code redemption section where you can enter the code found on your Beyblade Shogun Steel collector card to unlock secret battle areas.
