Plants Vs. Zombies 2 Passes The 25 Million Downloads Milestone

August 31, 2013
Talk about impressive numbers: Plants vs. Zombies 2, which launched in the App Store a couple of weeks ago, has already been downloaded a massive 25 million times. As such, the present number of downloads for Plants vs. Zombies 2 has already exceeded the total lifetime downloads for the original game, Plants vs. Zombies. The news hit the Web in a post added to EA's blog, which included the below infographic: EA explains:
The Zombies have come! Plants vs. Zombies 2 has smashed records and been downloaded nearly 25 million times by players around the globe. It really was about time - downloads for Plants vs. Zombies 2 have exceeded total lifetime downloads for Plants vs. Zombies, the original favorite from 2010. Our fans have been loving the new sequel, with an App Store rating that has continuously hovered at 4.5/5 stars.
Indeed, in our original review, we gave Plants vs. Zombies 2 a lot of praise, noting that the game "could be even more addictive than the original." As such, with the number of iDevice users worldwide having spiralled over recent years, and given the high quality of the sequel, it's no surprise that Plants vs. Zombies 2 has seen App Store success since its launch. Plants vs. Zombies 2 can be downloaded in the App Store free of charge.
