Simple Music-Making App Figure Gains New Song Sharing Capabilities
The simple and colorful music-making app Figure has just received another update. Essentially, the latest update to Figure enhances the app's sharing capabilities. First off, with the newly updated app, you can now share songs with your friends via email. Just tap the Mail option in the System tab to email the currently active song. You can also tap the envelope icon corresponding to any song in the Browse section to email that particular song, whether it's currently active or not. In the Browse section, you can also send songs to other apps that support Figure by tapping the "Open In…" icon. Of course, you must already have apps installed to handle Figure files to use this new function. If you can't see the video embedded above, please click here. The latest update to Figure also adds the ability to back up and restore songs via iTunes File Sharing. In addition, it introduces a new .figure song file format, to which your old songs will be automatically converted. The new version of Figure is available now in the App Store as a free update or as a new $0.99 download. The app is compatible with iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad running iOS 5.0 or later. Released in April last year for iPhone and iPod touch, Figure was made universal with native support for iPad late last November. Its previous update arrived last February, adding support for SoundCloud sharing and live audio streaming to other Audiobus-compatible apps. Figure is developed by Propellerhead, the popular music software company that also offers ReBirth for iPad and Thor Polysonic Synthesizer on iOS. [gallery link="file" order="DESC"]
