Social Gifting App Vouchr Gains Discover Mode And Better Foursquare Support

Vouchr — the app that lets you "invite your friends to try great experiences, on you!" — has just received another notable update.
In her review of the app here on AppAdvice, Christine vouched for Vouchr's merit: "I’m rather enjoying the slick and intuitive interface in Vouchr, and I think the concept is pretty brilliant. I mean, send your friends money to use at specific locations? It’s great, especially if it’s a place your friend hasn’t been to before."
The app's previous update, which was issued last month, added Foursquare integration, allowing you to use Foursquare check-ins from you and your friends as inspiration when creating vouchers.
Now, the app's new update improves that integration with the ability to use your mayorships to create vouchers as well as the ability to view Foursquare location tips and photos for inspiration.
The previous update also added nearby Vouchr notifications, which notify you when a voucher is nearby for you to claim.
Now, the update adds another location-based enhancement in the form of Discovery Mode, which lets you see the latest Vouchr activity from around the world as well as in your hometown.
The new version of Vouchr is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 6.0 or later.
The newly updated app also features a new Guest Mode, which lets you check out the app without having to create a Vouchr account. Currently, Vouchr requires Facebook in order to create an account.
