The Jim Henson Company's Fraggle Rock Game Day Launches For iOS

Fraggle Rock Game Day, a new iOS application from developer Cupcake Digital and The Jim Henson Company, is now available to download in the App Store for $2.99. Optimized for the iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch, Fraggle Rock Game Day allows iDevice users of all ages to enjoy a brand new Fraggle Rock story experience. As outlined in the application's release notes:

Meet Red, Fraggle Rock’s cute pig-tailed friend who loves being best of the best, whether she’s playing sports and competing with her fellow Fraggles. But on Record-Breaking Day, while Red is busy breaking one record after another - from washing the most laundry to making the biggest, wettest splash – all of her best friends are captured by Junior Gorg! Join Red as she helps Boober, Gobo, Mokey, and Wembley with her record-breaking rescue!

Fraggle Rock, you see, aims to help its infant users learn while playing. Reading comprehension and preparation for the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) are particularly targeted in the app, and parents have the option of downloading further educational resources from CupcakeDigital.com. Three storytelling modes: Read to Me includes helpful narration and tap & play interactivity; Read & Play offers children the opportunity to play and read on their own; Just a Book provides opportunities for quiet snuggle time
