Event Book 2.0 Features New Themed Edge-To-Edge Design, New Location View And More

September 3, 2013
Today brings a rather special event for Event Book as it has just been updated to version 2.0. Released last February, Event Book is a simple and beautiful calendar app for iPhone and iPod touch. And now, it has already received its big 2.0 update. Most notably, Event Book 2.0 introduces a new edge-to-edge design that is, unsurprisingly, more in line with the design language of the soon to be officially released iOS 7. Event Book developer Abhinay Ashutosh has this to say about the new design:
Event Book's beautifully re-imagined design takes advantage of every pixel on your phone. Everything from the smallest icons to the app's font has been updated to make your favorite calendar even better. See more events in less space, navigate between your favorite views with just a touch, and check out your events with the most important information up front.
Along with the app's new design come new ways to see the app, thanks to two new themes in addition to Event Book's classic look. The two new themes are Neue Light and Neue Dark. More themes are set to be added to Event Book in upcoming updates. And coming alongside the app's new themed edge-to-edge design are improvements to the Day, Week, Month, and List Books. You can now also swipe between days, weeks, months, and years to quickly navigate to an event. Also, there's now a Location Book, where you can save and retrieve your favorite locations for events. And speaking of locations, Event Book 2.0 lets you view them and get directions to them in-app through the app's newly added Apple Maps and Google Maps integration. Also including a myriad of other enhancements, Event Book 2.0 is available now in the App Store for free. The app is optimized for iPhone and iPod touch running iOS 5.0 or later.
